For example, the word 'Hangul' has two syllables, 'Han' and 'gul.' 'H' and 'g' are initial consonants, while 'n' and 'l' are batchim.

The Korean language has ten vowels, and each vowel has a unique sound. It is essential to learn the vowels to pronounce the Korean language correctly. Vowels are divided into two categories, namely, pure vowels and complex vowels. Simple vowels are basic and easy to remember. On the other hand, complex vowels are formed by combining the simple vowels. It is essential to practice the pronunciation of vowels to speak the Korean language fluently.
